Name: Cid Highwind Age: 33 Teaches: Flying Wand: Mahogany, 11 inches, core of dragon claw. Pet: None Family: Lives with Shera. . . Background information: Cid's. . . Well. . . Cid. He's a 33 year-old pilot who was muggle born and lived quite happily, imagining himself to be a master of all flying things, and eventually get into space. When he got his letter to Hogwarts, Cid's dream still didn't change; he just learned how to master broom sticks as well. He met Shera at Howarts, and after she got him to warm up to her, shared his passion with flying and building with her. After Cid graduated from Hogwarts, he got straight to building brooms and planes, wanting to be able to fullfil his dream. Having actually kept up with the Muggle studies he'd needed to know to build the flying machines (and other mechanics) during his stay at Hogwarts, he continued his Muggle studies and impressed both the Muggle and the Wizarding world. He continues to make all sorts of transportation, but apparently is taking a break from it to teach students how to fly at Hogwarts. Apparently, in Cid's own words, 'so they don't @$#% over my precious babies.' |
